There is nothing like a bear hug to make you feel welcome and the Papa Bear Chair is more than ready to welcome you with open arms – arms that resemble those of a bear, hence the name.

The Papa Bear Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1951. Though he started out as a cabinetmaker, Wegner’s design career incorporates several hundred chair designs, with many displayed in museums throughout the world.

This chair may bring to mind the chair for Papa Bear in the Goldilocks story but there won’t be complaints about this chair being too hard! HomeQ’s replica incorporates a choice of soft cashmere or wool upholstery to suit your personal preferences.

The frame is solid ash wood and the legs are made out of stunning walnut. Both woods are hardwearing and strong, so there’s no need to worry about crashing to the floor as Goldilocks did when she sat on Baby Bear’s chair.

Im in love with this chair...saw it on rebecca judds blog, tried it out in the homeQ showroom and it was the most comfortable chair Ive ever sat in.

I ordered a custom colour (beige cashmere and dark walnut finishings) and it looks amazing, and definitely worth the wait.

The clear ghost chairs I also ordered came before the chair and are super clear like the ones at space furniture and not at all hazy.

HomeQ offers a simple 14-day return policy on all new furniture bought from us - we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship behind our furniture, and also provide warranties on all of our products.

Returning your item is easy, simply follow the steps below:

1) Send us an email to help@homeq.com.au within the 14-day period after delivery. If we don’t have proof of delivery we will assume the date is 3 days from the time of dispatch. Please tell us if you’d like a refund, exchange, or credit. If there is a problem with the product, try to send us photos to help identify them.

2) We will correspond with you and go through your options for shipping and returns. We may provide you with a quote to ship the items back to us, and you must pay the shipping costs within the 14-day guarantee period.

3) The item(s) must be returned in their original packaging, in an unmarked and unused condition, unassembled, and complete with any accessories or additional items. A re-stocking fee applies if item is returned without original packaging intact.

4) Any delivery/shipping charges and other fees incurred by you or us are non-refundable.

5) Once we receive the returned items we will issue a refund within 5 days.
